The Body Magic by Ardyss is the Plus-Size DIVA's BFF!!!!! I have had my "BODY" as I call it, for almost five years now, and when I'm traveling, I pack it up before I even throw my underwear in the bag! Yes, it's that serious! It holds everything in. Initially it is difficult to get used to. For example, when you use the restroom, you have to snap, unsnap, tuck and tie just to get it off and put it back on, but you get used to it in no time and can pull it on and off in a matter of seconds. It is pricier than most (I paid about $160.00), but not only does it hold you in, it reshapes your natural body outline, even after you take it off. This shaper has been out and popular for years. 2. SPANX
SPANX is a less expensive body shaper that can be found primarily at any Lane Bryant Brand. It does not last as long as the Body Magic, but it serves the purpose completely! Many celebrities slide it on for appearances and it makes for a great controlled and smooth surface. They come in all forms, i.e. mid-waist, slips for dresses, shorts, panties, etc. You have various options to cater to your greatest "problem" area. SPANX gets a 9 from me. Decent price, great shaper....just doesn't last as long.
3. JUST MY SIZE Body Shapers
JUST MY SIZE is a brand found mostly in your local department store to include Wal-Mart. I have even seen the brand in some Ross Stores. This brand of girdles and body shapers can range from fair-priced to low-priced. I have found that these shapers don't necessarily hold you in to re-shape. They just conform to your shape to control the "jiggle". I have also found them to not be completely true to size. On the plus side, you can run out and grab one if there is an emergency. They keep you neat and polished just as a proper girdle should. They, also, have a plethora of shapers. www.justmysize.com
